WORKING HOURS


The office opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5p.m.

Classes commence at 10.30 a.m. and dissolve at 4.30p.m.

Each class is of 45 minutes duration. In winter it is reduced to 40 minutes.

Cash counter remains open till 2 p.m. on weekdays and till 12 noon on Saturday.
No cash transaction is made on Thursday.

RULES OF DISCIPLINE


The college expects its students to conduct themselves in a disciplined and dignified manner in the college and outside. For this some provisions are as follows :

  1. College uniform for all students is compulsory.
  1. Students shall obey an order issued by the University or by the Principal of the college.
  2. Students shall conduct themselves in a gentle manner both towards the members of the staff and towards their follow students.
  3. Students shall maintain perfect silence in class rooms and library room and desist from demonstration or disorderly behavior. They must not loiter in the corridors or in front of the class rooms, office or library rooms and must keep as quiet as possible during the college hours.
  4. Students shall not misappropriate, destroy, mutilate, disfigure or damage any college or university property, in particular library books, laboratory equipment, furniture, apparatus etc.
  5. No student suffering from any contagious or infectious disease will be permitted to attend the college.

For a breach of discipline within or outside the premises of the college, the Principal of the college may.

  1.   Impose a  fine on students, and/or
  2. Suspend the students for a definite period, or
  3. Expel him from the college for such a period as he thinks it fit.

The Principal may ask a students to leave the college if he considers such action necessary in the interest of institution or may bring such matters of grave nature to the notice of the Governing Body  for a decision without assigning any reason for that.

ATTENDANCE


It is obligatory on part of the students to attend classes regularly and punctually. Willful absence from the class room lecture will be treated as a serious infringement of college discipline. As a rule each student is required to attend minimum 75% of the total lectures delivered in each subject in an academic session as per the norms of Vidyasagar University.
